Good News for PTCL Pensioners: SC Ordered to Increase the Pensions Forthwith

Islamabad (August 18, 2017): Chairman, Standing Committee of the Senate for Information Technology, Shahi Syed has advised PTCL Management to increase the pensions of its retired employees as per orders of Honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As per details, the meeting of the committee was held at Islamabad under the chairmanship of Senator Shahi Syed, Chairman of the Committee. Senator Shahi Syed further instructed the Ministry of IT & Telecom that the issue of PTCL Pensioners be resolved within four weeks. Senator Rubina Khalid said at the occasion, that pensioners issue must be resolved immediately. Pensioners are feeling helpless which is not favorable for the Government & PTCL Management. Committee was also briefed that Special Communication Organization (SCO) has completed the 70% of development work for laying of optical fiber cable from Rawalpindi to Khunjrab. After the auction of 3G/4G frequency spectrum, the service will be launched for Azad Jammu & Kashmir by the SCO.
Committee also discussed the ongoing Automation work at President & Prime Minister Secretariats, FPSC and other ministries & divisions. It was also discussed that for the establishment of IT Parks at Lahore & Karachi, relevant authorities have planned for the purchase of land.

    The heading of this news is not correct.
    These are orders of Chairman Standing comittee Mr. shahid Syed
    not of Supreme Court.
