Mobilink Offers MobiCash Services To Bahria Town’s Residents

Karachi (March 9, 2016): A well-known Mobile operator in Pakistan “Mobilink” and largest real estate developer “Bahria Town” both have signed a memorandum according to which Mobilink will provide its digital mobile financial services i.e. “MobiCash” to the employees and residents of Bahria Town. A ceremony in this regard was held yesterday.

bahria townMalik Riaz, Chairman Bahria Town, while speaking in the ceremony said that “We will use Mobilink’s Digital Financial Services platform (MobiCash) for our transactions. And further we have planned to use it for our financial transfers between all our service providers i.e. schools, hospitals or maintenance entities etc. This partnership unveils our aim to develop Smart Cities through digitization of society.

Expressing his views on the occasion at the signing ceremony, Jeffrey Hedberg, President and CEO of Mobilink, said, “This partnership is the first step towards digital evolution in the country, we will provides Bahria Town the digital financial services platform (MobiCash) for transactions. Beyond this, we will extended it for other communications through our services like M2M (Machine to Machine) & IOT (Internet of things) for Smart City deployments for Bahria Town”.

Ali Kamran, Director Business Development Mobilink said at the event that “Mobilink and Bahria Town are building a relationship, which leads our country into the real digital era. Collectively, we will set the urban living trends initiating from the residents of Bahria Town. This partnership will be the first step towards digital economy, which will shape our ideas to develop smart cities. This move of both our companies is leading role to provide our public various facilities on their smartphones in the next future.”

By this collaboration, the employees and residents of Bahria Town will be able to use Mobilink’s digital platform for financial transactions. Services include in the agreement are Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Clients (B2C) and Business-to-Public (B2P) dealings. At present, services will include all kinds of utilities & maintenance bill payments, salary disbursements and payments to other service providers and contractors within the Bahria Town’s jurisdiction.
